Afrin ... violations continue against Kurdish civilians

ARK News: The Human Rights Organization in Afrin published on its official Facebook page, the continuing violation by armed groups against the Kurdish citizens in Afrin region of kidnapped, arrested and imposed heavy taxes on civilians, especially in Shiye town of Afrin town in Kurdistan of Syria.

According the Organization, the General Director of the General Staff, Mr. Abdo Shawakh, known as al-Mara'i, accompanied by his assistants (Abu Abdu Abu Rashid) and the dominants of the following villages: Marwaniya, Hekicha, Anqale, Sennara carried out on Saturday, 13/04/2019In various kinds of violations and insults against Kurdish citizens, under various pretexts, but they also impose royalty on them even the extent of the violations reached the point of not allowing farmers to go to their fields and work only after getting permission from them.

The Organization mentioned that in Shiye town the armed elements of the faction of Sultan Suleiman Shah (al-Amshat) carry out every day of kidnapping (4 - 5) citizens from the town and take them to the security headquarters and they are beaten and tortured by Abu Sakhir, one of the leaders of the same faction noting that to date the number of abductees has reached 27 citizens.

And the Organization added that the armed elements of the same faction imposed the royalty about $ 1000 thousand dollars on the most families of the village of Haj Bilal without exception which forced some of the displaced people to leave out from the village to Afrin city because of their inability to pay this amount and they are:

2. Fawzi Auji
3. Saif al-Din Auji
4. Esmat Osman
5. Mamo Musa, nicknamed Mamo Miso


It is worth mentioning that the armed groups continue in their violations against the Kurdish presence in Afrin region from kidnapping, arrest, and murder, in addition to the imposition of heavy ransoms on civilians which aiming to leave people their homes for the demographic change.
