The regime’s agriculture: No damage to agricultural crops in Dirk and Sari Kaniye due to the cold

ARK News: The Director Assistance of Agriculture of Hasaka of the Syrian regime confirmed the absence of damage to agricultural crops in the areas of Derik Sari Kaniye due to the fall of cold associated with the rains during the last 24 hours.

And the Director Assistance of the regime agriculture Rajab al-Salama told in statement to SANA of the Syrian regime yesterday that the reality of agricultural crops in the region "is good” and no damage was recorded as a result of the cold because the period of its fall was short and light in the areas of (Derik - Zuhairiya - Mabroka) and was limited by the torrents and floods and that have occurred in the region during the last period.

In his turn the Director of Fund Branch of the regime Ammar Majid revealed in order to mitigate the effects of drought and natural disasters on agricultural production in Hasaka that it was detected on the part of the affected areas of the torrents and floods in Tal Hamis area in the southern countryside of Qamishlo it was found that some 500 hectares of land were damaged and that a large part of them was submerged by flood waters and the affected area in Tirba Spiye they do not meet the conditions of agricultural compensation in terms of lack of access to agricultural license.


The total cultivated areas with winter crops in Hasaka for the current season is about 910 thousand hectares.

In Kurdistan of Syria, agricultural crops subject to reduction and damage for a number of reasons, including high costs, loss of supplies and loss of labor as a result of the large migration in addition to the loss of the farmer between the laws of the regime and the PYD which harms the sale of its products at a low price between to the two parties.
