Syrian Bakery Corporation Says 159 Bakeries Upgraded Since Fall of Former Regime
ARK News.. The director general of the Syrian Bakery Corporation said modernisation and rehabilitation work at bakeries across Syria has resulted in 159 bakeries being upgraded since the fall of the former regime.
Mohammad Tariq al-Sayyadi, director general of the Syrian Bakery Corporation, said in a statement published on the official pages of Syria’s Ministry of Economy and Industry that 150 newly licensed commercial bakeries had been established. He said this would help expand service coverage, strengthen competition and improve product quality.
Al-Sayyadi noted that 74 bakeries are nearing a return to service, at a rate of approximately one new or upgraded bakery every four days.
He added that the bakery sector is witnessing an accelerated pace of development and rehabilitation under a plan aimed at improving bread quality and raising the standard of services provided, while continuing efforts to develop the sector and rehabilitate its facilities.
