Syria and Iraq Discuss Ways to Strengthen Bilateral Relations
ARK News.. Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa and Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
According to SANA, the meeting addressed Syrian-Iraqi relations and ways to enhance political and security coordination, expand economic and trade cooperation, and address a number of issues of mutual interest.
The two sides also discussed the latest regional developments and efforts to consolidate de-escalation in the region.
The high-level meetings and general debate of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly began on Wednesday, with Syria participating. According to the UN’s official schedule, the session will continue through September 28.
