ARK News: US media said on the tongue of a high-ranking of US official that America may keep some of its troops in Syria, but Donald Trump's administration did not take any decision on this matter.

US channel NBC reported that the official who accompanied US national security adviser, "John Bolton" during his visit to Israel, said that the United States has no timetable for the withdrawal of its troops from Syria.

The official believes it is possible to eliminate remnants of IS organization in Syria within weeks, adding that some of the troops to be withdrawn from Syria will be transferred to Iraq.

He added that during his visit to Israel, Bolton plans to discuss the possibility of retaining some troops at al-Tanaf base as they play an important role in reducing Iranian influence in the region.

He explained that the United States would like to hear the views of Israel and Jordan before making the final decision, including on al-Tanaf base.
