Hakan Fidan to Nechirvan Barzani: Hope Newroz Strengthens Friendship and Shared Values
ARK News.. Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region, received a congratulatory message on the occasion of Newroz from Hakan Fidan on Sunday, March 22, 2026.
According to a statement by the Kurdistan Region Presidency, Fidan extended his warm congratulations, describing Newroz as a symbol of good and hope, and a key element of the region’s shared heritage.
The Turkish foreign minister expressed his hope that Newroz would serve as a means to strengthen friendship, promote harmony, and preserve shared values.
In another part of his message, Fidan referred to the current regional situation, noting the growing challenges and escalation, and voiced hope that peace and security would prevail for all humanity on this occasion.
He concluded by conveying his sincere greetings to President Barzani and the people of the Kurdistan Region, wishing them a year filled with peace and prosperity.
