Masrour Barzani and Abdullah II of Jordan Discuss War Implications and Regional Tensions
ARK News.. Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, held a phone call on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, with Abdullah II of Jordan to discuss the overall situation in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, Jordan, and the wider region, with emphasis on enhancing bilateral cooperation.
The two sides reviewed the repercussions of the ongoing war and current tensions, as well as a series of attacks targeting the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, Jordan, and other countries in the region.
In another axis, discussions addressed the economic crisis and its impact on Iraq and the region. It was noted that the Kurdistan Regional Government, as a supportive step to ease financial pressures, has allowed the resumption of oil exports through the Region’s pipeline to the Turkish port of Ceyhan.
