Masrour Barzani: I Will Always Support the Legitimate Rights of Women in Kurdistan

ARK News.. Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region, sent a congratulatory message to women in Kurdistan on the occasion of International Women's Day, praising the historic and central role played by Kurdish women throughout the region’s history.

In a recorded speech, Barzani said that women have always played a prominent role in building Kurdish society, noting that they stood side by side with men during the difficult stages of Kurdistan’s struggle and resistance and actively contributed to shaping a proud history.

The prime minister emphasized the Kurdistan Region’s strategic vision regarding women’s issues, stating that the regional government fully believes in strengthening the position of women and is working seriously to implement this vision in practice.

“I reassure the women of Kurdistan that I will always be a supporter and advocate of their legitimate rights, so that they can obtain the role and status they deserve in all areas of society, each according to her abilities and qualifications,” Barzani said.
