Nechirvan Barzani Thanks the Netherlands for Continued Support to the Kurdistan Region
ARK News.. As part of his agenda at the Munich Security Conference, Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani met on Saturday, February 14, 2026, with Dick Schoof, Prime Minister of the Netherlands, and Ruben Brockelmans, Minister of Defense.
The meeting focused on advancing relations between the Netherlands, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region, as well as continuing Dutch assistance across various sectors. President Barzani expressed his appreciation for the Netherlands’ sustained support to the Kurdistan Region.
For their part, the Dutch officials reaffirmed their country’s strong interest in its relations with the Kurdistan Region and underscored their commitment to continued support for security and development in the area.
