ARK News.. Hazem Tahseen Beg, Yezidi Prince and member of the Yezidi Spiritual Council, through his representative, issued a message regarding the situation of Kurds and Yezidis in Syria and Syrian Kurdistan, stressing the need to halt the war and bloodshed.

The Prince’s representative emphasized that the relationship between the Yezidis and the Kurdish people in Syria is historic and deeply rooted.

He noted that following the outbreak of clashes in the Ashrafiya and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods of Aleppo, these relations and forms of cooperation have continued and remain intact to this day, expressing deep sorrow over the large number of victims among the local population.

He added: “Our position is clear. We are against this war being waged against our Kurdish brothers in Syrian Kurdistan. From here, we reaffirm our message of support to them, especially the members of the Yezidi community.”

Prince Hazem called on all concerned parties to immediately stop the fighting and resolve disputes through dialogue and peaceful means, stressing that “the language of war brings nothing but destruction and displacement to peoples and achieves no gains. Therefore, peace must be the primary choice.”
