In a statement, the union said that the gathering was organized as a civil demonstration in support of Syrian Kurdistan, but it was attacked by several Syrian Arabs.

Regarding the casualties, the union revealed that the attack was carried out using knives, injuring six Kurdish citizens, two of whom are in critical condition.

The union confirmed that four suspects have been arrested so far, calling on Belgian police and authorities to conduct a thorough investigation and impose the harshest penalties on those involved.
