Monir Qaraoglu: I Am Proud to Be Here with President Barzani at the Botan Jazira Forum

ARK News.. The Turkish Deputy Minister of Interior delivered a speech today, Saturday, November 29, 2025, during the fourth edition of the international symposium dedicated to the poet and Sufi mystic Mala Jaziri.

“Mala Jaziri, who illuminated our lives throughout history, has brought us together today in this symposium, and he is the reason for the honorable presence of President Barzani here.”

He added: “We feel proud to be with you today in this academic and intellectual gathering. In this forum, which brings together guests from various regions, we exchange ideas on the message of peace and the wisdom of Mala Jaziri.”

In another part of his speech, he referred to the region’s history, stating: “Today, we speak of a rich and ancient historical legacy. We stand in a place that brings to mind the memory of the Prophet Noah (peace be upon him), whose ark rested with his people on Mount Judi—from where life and humanity began anew.”

He continued: “This land is not known only for its mountains and rivers, but also for its scholars. From Diyarbakr, Mardin, and other areas, the light of knowledge spread far and wide—and without doubt, Mala Jaziri is one of the strongest links in this chain.”
