ARK News... Today, October 30, 2022, marks the sixth anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr. Peshmerga Suleiman Chirokaya, who was martyred while carrying out his duty to dismantle and neutralize mines and explosives left by the ISIS terrorist organization in the Kurdistan Region.

The martyr Dr. Suleiman was seriously injured as a result of the explosion of a landmine left behind by ISIS in the large village of Tishrab in the Bashiqa axis, on Wednesday 26/10/2016, and he was transferred by a private helicopter to the city of Erbil and from there to Germany for treatment.

It was announced the death of Dr. Suleiman Chirokaya, an explosives disposal expert in the Peshmerga forces on 30/10/2016, in a hospital in Germany.

Dr. Suleiman comes from a Kurdish family from North Kurdistan (Kurdistan of Turkey) and lived for many years in Germany when ISIS attacked the Kurdistan Region in 2014. Dr. Suleiman volunteered to work within the Peshmerga forces and was able to dismantle thousands of bombs planted by ISIS in the Kurdistan Region.

With solemn ceremonies, his burial was buried in his hometown in Kurdistan, Turkey.
