Masrour Barzani Congratulates Duhok and Zakho Clubs on Reaching Iraq Final Cup
ARK News.. Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Sunday, July 13, 2025, congratulated the football clubs Duhok and Zakho for reaching the final of the Iraq Cup.
In a message posted on the platform (X), the Prime Minister described the achievement as the result of the efforts of Kurdistan’s youth and a source of pride for all the region’s people.
He wished both teams continued success in the final match.
Duhok and Zakho qualified for the Iraq fina Cup l on Saturday after defeating last season’s champions al-Shorta and runners-up al-Quwa al-Jawiya.
Duhok overcame al-Quwa al-Jawiya with a 3–1 victory, while Zakho eliminated al-Shorta on penalties (4–3) after a goalless draw in regular time.
