UN Delegation Visits Alok Water Station in Sari Kaniye

ARK News.. Local sources reported that a United Nations delegation visited the Alok water station in Sari Kaniye to inspect the site ahead of planned maintenance and eventual reactivation.

According to local reports, a convoy of five vehicles from the United Nations and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent entered Syria from Turkish territory on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, via the Sherik village border crossing west of Dirbasiye. The delegation, accompanied by U.S. forces, proceeded to the Alouk water station in the countryside of Hasaka.

Sources confirmed that the visit aimed to assess the condition of the station in preparation for future rehabilitation and a return to operational status.

Alok is considered one of the most vital water facilities in the region. Restoring its operations is expected to significantly improve essential services for residents in the Hasaka countryside.
