Military Operations Command Deploys Reinforcements to Northeastern Syria

Jan 20 2025

ARK News.. Syrian media outlets reported that the Military Operations Command has begun mobilizing forces toward northeastern Syria.

According to Syria TV, military and security reinforcements from the New Syrian Administration arrived on Sunday, January 19, 2025, in areas east of Aleppo, near the Tishreen Dam, as well as in Deir Ez-zour.

The report noted that the border crossings authority in Deir Ez-zour has restricted river crossing points to only five, aiming to regulate movement between the banks of the Euphrates River.

Footage circulating on the platform X (formerly Twitter) showed heavy military vehicles, reportedly belonging to the Military Operations Command, advancing toward areas under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in northeastern Syria, suggesting preparations for a military offensive against them.

Clashes between the SDF and factions of the Syrian National Army have been ongoing for over a month in the Manbij area, located in eastern Aleppo countryside.
