Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria and Progressive Democratic Party Discuss Key Issues

ARK News.. The Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria (KDP-S) and the Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party in Syria held discussions on the overall Syrian situation, focusing particularly on Kurdish issues. Both parties emphasized the need to organize the Kurdish house and establish mechanisms to ensure the success of intra-Kurdish dialogue.

The political bureaus of both parties convened for a bilateral meeting at the office of the Progressive Democratic Party in Qamishli.

The KDP-S delegation was led by party Secretary Mohammed Ismail and included Dr. Lazgin Fakhri, a member of the political bureau, as well as Nafie Abdullah and Hassan Ramzi, members of the party’s central committee. The delegation of the Progressive Democratic Party was headed by Secretary Dr. Salah Darwish, accompanied by political bureau members Midas Aziz, Anas Abdi, and Media Ako.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the broader Syrian context and the Kurdish situation specifically. They stressed the importance of uniting Kurdish ranks and establishing effective mechanisms to advance Kurdish dialogue.

Both parties expressed their appreciation for President Masoud Barzani's initiative, acknowledging his steadfast support for Kurdish dialogue and the Kurdish cause in Syria.

This meeting is seen as an essential step toward fostering unity and collaboration among Kurdish factions, as they navigate the challenges and opportunities in the evolving Syrian landscape.
