Syrian Negotiation Committee Delegation Holds Meetings with Syrian Communities Ahead of National Dialogue Conference
ARK News.. The Syrian National Council’s (KNC) representative revealed a series of meetings with various Syrian communities in preparation for the upcoming National Dialogue Conference, signaling a critical step toward the next phase in Syria's future.
Ibrahim Biro, KNC representative in the Syrian Negotiation Committee, shared on his Facebook page: “During our stay in Damascus, we have been conducting intensive meetings and visits to exchange views and prepare for the coming phase.”
He added, “on Saturday, we visited Suwayda Governorate, where we met Sheikh Hikmat al-Hijri and also visited the family of Sultan Pasha al-Atrash.”
Biro noted another meeting held with the Armenian Catholic Archdiocese, where discussions took place with Bishop George Assadourian, Monsignor George Bahey, Zahi Tayara, Shadi Sarwat, and George Nazer.
He emphasized that the discussions centered on Syria's future, underscoring equality among all components of the population in rights and responsibilities, and ensuring everyone’s participation in drafting the new Syrian constitution.
Additionally, Biro highlighted a meeting with the leadership of the Yazidi Council of Syria, who are currently visiting Damascus. The meeting included representatives such as Mizgin Yousef, Sarhan Issa, and a delegation from the Yazidi communities of Aleppo and Afrin.
These meetings reflect ongoing efforts to foster inclusive dialogue and cooperation among Syria’s diverse communities, laying the groundwork for a unified vision of the country’s future.
