President Masoud Barzani Meets Dr. Abdel Hakim Bachar, Vice President of the Syrian National Coalition

ARK News.. President Masoud Barzani received, on Saturday, January 5, 2024, Dr. Abdel Hakim Bachar, Vice President of the Syrian National Coalition and a member of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria, following his recent visit to the Syrian capital, Damascus.

In an official statement, Dr. Abdel Hakim Bachar said, “It was an honor to meet the Kurdish leader, His Excellency President Masoud Barzani, on Saturday, January 4, 2025, in the presence of Mr. Azad Barwari, member of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Iraq, and Dr. Hamid Darbandi, head of the Syrian affairs dossier in the Kurdistan Region.”

Dr. Bachar added, “I provided His Excellency with a brief overview of my visit to Damascus, the meetings I held there, and my assessment of the current situation. His Excellency commended the visit and offered valuable guidance, which serves as a roadmap for our future work. He reaffirmed his unwavering support for the Kurdish people in Syria and their rightful aspirations.”

He concluded by expressing his gratitude, saying, “I sincerely thanked His Excellency for his consistent support and limitless solidarity with the Kurdish people and their cause.”

This meeting underscores ongoing efforts to strengthen coordination among Kurdish and Syrian political entities and to secure the rights of the Kurdish people amidst the current challenges.
