Israel Criticizes New Syrian Administration
ARK News.. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar has criticized the new Syrian administration for its plans to postpone elections for four years.
In a statement on the platform "X" on Monday, December 30, 2024, Sa’ar revealed that he had a phone conversation with Greek Foreign Minister Giorgos Gerapetritis.
"We discussed the situation in Syria, and I emphasized the urgent need to protect minorities in the country," Sa’ar stated.
He added, "What is particularly concerning is that the new government in Damascus, which was not democratically elected, is now declaring that elections will not take place for another four years."
