HTS Leader Al-Shar’a: Kurds Are an Integral Part of Syria and Have Suffered Great Injustice
ARK News.. Ahmed Al-Shar’a, also known as Abu Mohammad Al-Jolani, the leader of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), emphasized that Kurds are a vital component of Syria.
In a widely shared video featuring Syrian journalist Omar Sheikh Ibrahim, Al-Shar’a responded to a question about the future of Kurds in Syria by acknowledging the significant injustices they, like other Syrians, have endured.
Al-Shar’a stated, “Kurds are an essential part of Syria and, like other Syrians, have suffered great injustices. With the fall of the regime, this injustice may come to an end. In the future Syria, Kurds will play an important role, and everyone will secure their rights under the law.”
He affirmed that there will no longer be oppression against Kurds, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Syria's history.
Regarding the people of Afrin, Al-Shar’a stressed that efforts would be made to ensure their return to their villages and hometowns.
