Israel destroys 90% of Syria’s air defense system

ARK News.. The Israeli military announced that recent strikes have caused significant damage to Syria’s air defense system, destroying over 90% of identified strategic surface-to-air missiles.

In a statement, the Israeli military said that hundreds of sorties carried out over the past few days targeted Syria’s most strategic weaponry.

The targets included fighter jets, attack helicopters, Scud missiles, drones, cruise missiles, anti-ship missiles, surface-to-air missiles, surface-to-surface missiles, radars, rocket launchers, and other critical weaponry.

The strikes reportedly hit several Syrian military airbases, including the T4 airbase north of Damascus and the Blai airfield, which previously hosted three combat squadrons.

The statement emphasized that the attacks inflicted significant damage on Syria’s air defense system, with over 90% of identified strategic surface-to-air missiles destroyed.
