President Barzani issues a statement on the current events in Syria
ARK News.. President Masoud Barzani has issued a statement on the ongoing developments in Syria, stressing their profound impact on the political future, security and stability of Syria and the entire region.
"We are closely following the latest changes and developments in Syria as they have a direct impact on the political future and security of Syria and our region as a whole," the statement read.
Barzani expressed hope that the unfolding events would pave the way for dialogue and mutual understanding as a basis for resolving disputes.
He urged against actions that could deepen ethnic and sectarian divisions among Syria's diverse communities.
"We look forward to the concerned parties reaching an agreement through peaceful means that serves the interests of all components of Syria and promotes coexistence, peace and stability," Barzani concluded.
