President of Kurdistan Region receives Italian Ambassador to Iraq
ARK News.. The Italian Ambassador to Iraq stressed his country's strong commitment to its relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.
On Tuesday, 3 December 2024, Nechirvan Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region, received Nicolo Fontana, the newly appointed Italian Ambassador to Iraq.
During the meeting, President Barzani welcomed Ambassador Fontana and congratulated him on assuming his new role. He expressed the Kurdistan Region's readiness to provide all necessary support and cooperation to ensure the success of his mission.
President Barzani also stressed the Region's commitment to strengthening relations with Italy.
For his part, Ambassador Fontana expressed his pleasure at visiting the Kurdistan Region for the first time and thanked for the warm reception and support.
He reiterated Italy's strong emphasis on promoting relations with Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, vowing to work on enhancing bilateral relations in various fields.
