Dozens of Kurdish Families Flee from Aleppo to Kobani
ARK News.. Local sources have reported that dozens of Kurdish families have fled from Aleppo to the Kobani region in Syrian Kurdistan following the incursion of armed factions into the city of Aleppo.
According to the sources, on Friday, November 29, 2024, dozens of Kurdish families arrived in Kobani and its surrounding countryside, fearing potential clashes between the armed factions of the PYD administration and the opposition factions in Aleppo's Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiya neighborhoods.
The sources also noted that dozens of university students from Kobani left Aleppo and returned to Kobani after their university dormitory was shelled, resulting in the deaths of four students and injuries to six others.
PYD administration forces have called on residents of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiya neighborhoods to resist the opposition factions and prevent them from entering areas under PYD control.
