11th Anniversary of the Kidnapping of Lawyer Idris Alo by PYD Administration Militants

ARK News.. Friday, November 8, 2024, marked the 11th anniversary of the kidnapping of the political activist and member of the Area Council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, Lawyer Idris Alo, and his fate remains unknown to this moment.

PYD militants kidnapped the human rights activist Idris Alo on November 8, 2013, after raiding his home in Afrin city center in Syrian Kurdistan and took him to an unknown location.

Despite several attempts by Idris Alo's family to find out his fate, the PYD administration in Afrin rejected the accusation of kidnapping or arresting him, and the PYD Asayish denied that they had Alo with them.

A brief biography of Idris Alo:

Idris Alo was born in 1968. He lived with his wife in the city of Afrin city - Ashrafiya neighborhood.

Since the beginning of the Syrian revolution, he has been an opponent of the Syrian regime and has participated in several demonstrations.

Alo worked as a lawyer alongside his media activity, and because of his striking activities among the revolutionary youth, the PYD set its sights on liquidating him. After a while, masked elements kidnapped him and took him to an unknown destination, and his fate remains unknown until now.
