The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, said via the X platform: I extend my warmest congratulations to President Donald Trump and his Vice President on their election victory.

He added: I look forward to working together to strengthen our partnership and deepen bilateral relations between the Kurdistan Region and the United States.
