Afrin.. A refugee family returns home in Shiye town
ARK News.. A Kurdish refugee family who had been living in Lebanon for more than ten years has returned to their hometown in the Shiye town of Afrin, Syrian Kurdistan, as part of an ongoing campaign encouraging the return of displaced and refugee families to their original villages and towns in the Afrin region.
A source informed the ARK News website that the family returned on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, ending a period of around 12 years as refugees in Lebanon.
Since the beginning of 2024, over 300 families—refugees, internally displaced, and exiled—have returned to their homes in villages and districts across Afrin, Syrian Kurdistan.
