Afrin: Kurdish refugee family in Lebanon returns home to Shiye town
ARK News.. As part of an ongoing campaign to bring refugee, displaced, and relocated families back to their hometowns in the villages and towns of Afrin, a Kurdish refugee family in Lebanon has returned to their hometown in Afrin.
A private source reported to ARK News that a Kurdish family, who had been refugees in Lebanon, returned on Sunday, November 3, 2024, to their hometown in the village of Sanare, in the Shiye town of Afrin in Syrian Kurdistan. The family had been displaced for nearly 12 years.
Since the beginning of 2024, over 300 families—refugees, displaced persons, and returnees—have returned to their hometowns in the villages and towns of Afrin, Syrian Kurdistan.
