ARK News.. Local sources have confirmed that the PYD administration continues to provide the Syrian regime with crude oil from the oil fields under its control.

Dozens of oil tankers were seen, on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at the Tabqa city crossing, west of Raqqa, coming from Hasaka in Syrian Kurdistan and heading towards regime-controlled areas.

A private source told ARK News earlier that in December 2023, the PYD administration signed an agreement with the Syrian regime to supply 320 tankers of diesel per day, amounting to 93% of the PYD administration's share. The agreement came into effect immediately after it was signed.

According to the source, the PYD administration retains only 7% of the diesel produced from the oil fields under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which it sells on the black market at high prices.

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) control the most important oil and gas fields in the region, including the "Rmelan" and "Suwaidiya" fields in the Derik countryside, the "Shaddadi" and "Jabsa" fields in the Hasakah countryside, as well as the "Omar" and "Tanik" fields in Deir Ez-Zour.
