Afrin.. Fires devour vast areas of vegetation in Hawar Mountain Range

ARK News.. Once again, fires have devoured vast areas of vegetation, fruit trees and forests in a mountain range belonging to Afrin city in Syrian Kurdistan caused great damage to olive and mountain trees.

Local sources from Afrin city said that fires broke out, on Thursday, October 3, 2024, in Hawar Mountain Range in Afrin city, and hundreds of forest, mountain and fruit trees in the area were burned as a result of the fires.

According to documentation by ARK News website, fires have broken out since the beginning of summer in the following places:

*Fires broke out in the forests of Mount Hawar in towns of Bilbile and Rajo, on August 11, 2024.

*The forests of Mount Hawar in the village of "Qori Gol" of Bilbile town, on August 5, 2024, and continued for several hours.

*Forest and fruitful areas in the villages of (7 Maydans villages) of Rajo town, especially in the villages of (Kusa - Paneraka - Shingele), on the morning of Saturday, July 27, 2024.

* Forest and fruitful areas in the villages of Sarinjake and Bekhcha of Bulbul town, and the village of (Bilelko) and the villages of (7Maydans) in Rajo town, on the night of Tuesday - Wednesday, July 23 and 24, 2024.

*Agricultural lands and groves in a mountain adjacent to the village of Beke in Bilbile town in Afrin in Syrian Kurdistan, on Thursday (July 11, 2024).

*Agricultural lands and groves located between the villages of (7 Midanas - Semalka - Adama - Bilelko) in Rajo town of Afrin city on Sunday (July 8, 2024).

*The forests of Mount Billel in Rajo town in Afrin city in Syrian Kurdistan, on Sunday (2/6/2024).

*Mount (Zênê) opposite of Mount (Billel) due to the deliberate burning at the end of last May.

It is worth noting that in the mountain chain of seven parts of Maydans villages and Hawar mountain in the Rajo town of Afrin, Syrian Kurdistan, there were ten times of fire since June. In it, fields, olive trees, maple trees, and mountain trees were burned.
