Afrin.. Al-Amshat gunmen arrested 7 Kurdish citizens
ARK News.. Mabata town in Afrin, Syrian Kurdistan, witnessed the arrest of a number of Kurdish citizens by members of the armed factions affiliated with the “National Army, and released them in exchange for a ransom.
A special source told ARK News that gunmen of Sultan Sulieman Shah, known as Al-Amshat arrested 7 Kurdish citizens in Mabata town center and released them in exchange for a ransom of 300 US dollars to 700 US dollars.
The same source said, they were arrested on the 22nd of the month and released on the 25th of the month.

In August 2023, the US Treasury Department imposed sanctions on the “Al-Amshat” faction and its leader, Muhammad Hussein al-Jassim, nicknamed “Abu Amsha,” and the “Al-Hamzat” faction and its leader, Saif Polad, nicknamed “Abu Bakr,” for committing “serious human rights violations in Afrin,” in Syrian Kurdistan.
