President Barzani receives an official invitation to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran

ARK News.. President Masoud Barzani received an official invitation from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran.

President Masoud Barzani, on Thursday, September 12, 2024, received Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region as part of his visit to Iraq and the Kurdistan Region.

During the meeting, views and opinions were exchanged on the general situation in Iraq and the region, and emphasis was placed on coordination and strengthening relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Islamic Republic of Iran in the political, economic and cultural fields.

Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran extended an official invitation to President Barzani to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in the Kurdistan Region on Thursday morning, September 12, 2024, via Erbil International Airport.

The President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, and a number of senior officials in the Kurdistan Region received the Iranian President at Erbil International Airport.

The Kurdistan Region Presidency hosted a joint meeting with the Presidency of the Kurdistan Regional Government, for Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.

The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, stressed the continuation of developing neighbourly relations based on mutual respect and common interests.

The Prime Minister said: "It was a pleasure for me to meet the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Masoud Pezeshkian, in Erbil."

"We will continue to develop good neighbourly relations based on mutual respect and common interests, he added."
