ARK News.. President Masoud Barzani and the US Ambassador to Iraq discussed the political situation in Iraq and the region, the Kurdistan Parliament elections scheduled for next October, and the necessity of conducting election campaigns in a free atmosphere and away from tensions.

President Masoud Barzani received Elena Romanowski, the US Ambassador to Iraq, on Monday, September 9, 2024, in the Salahuddin resort.

During the meeting, which was attended by Stephen Boehner, the US Consul General in Erbil, the US Ambassador to Iraq referred to the results of President Barzani's recent visit to Baghdad, which had a significant impact on the visions of Iraqi political parties and created a positive climate for dealing with various issues.
