4members of KNC released by the PYD
ARK News.. The PYD administration released four members of the Kurdish National Council in Syria (JNC), who were kidnapped from their homes several months ago in Syrian Kurdistan.
The PYD administration, on the night of Saturday, September 8, 2024, released Berivan Ismail, Fawaz Banko, Khaled Miro, and Abdulrahman Shangi from its detainees, months after they were brutally kidnapped from their homes and nothing was known about their fate until their release.
The four who were released were kidnapped months ago:
1- Berivan Ismail, a media activist in the Kurdish National Council, was kidnapped by PYD militants from her home in Amouda city in Syrian Kurdistan on June 9, 2024.
2- Khaled Miro, a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria Branch Council, was kidnapped from his home in Derik city in Syrian Kurdistan on June 9, 2024.
3- Fawaz Banko, a leader in the Kurdistan Democratic Unity Party, was kidnapped from his home in Amouda city in Syrian Kurdistan on June 9, 2024.
4- Abdul Rahman Shangi, a member of the Area Council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria, was kidnapped from his home in the village of Tabka in countryside of Derik city in Syrian Kurdistan on June 6, 2024.
The following is a list of the names of the kidnapped members of the Kurdish National Council in Syria in the detentions of the PYD administration, whose fate is still unknown:
1- Bahzad Dorsin, member of the Political Bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, was kidnapped in countryside of Derik on October 24, 2012.
2- Nidal Othman, member of the Derik Organization of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, was kidnapped in countryside of the city of Derik on October 24, 2012.
3- Jamil Omar, head of the Kurdish Democratic Forces in Syria, was kidnapped in Qamishli city on July 13, 2012.
4- Ahmed Othman Saydo, member of the Afrin Organization of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, was kidnapped in Aleppo city on September 10, 2013.
5- Idris Alo, member of the Afrin Organization of the Kurdistan Democratic Party - Syria, was kidnapped in Afrin city on November 8, 2013.
6- Fouad Ibrahim, member of the General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, was kidnapped in Derik city on March 24, 2017.
7- Amir Hamed, member of the SOZ Organization, was kidnapped in Derbasiya on January 11, 2014.
8- Rakan Ahmed, a media activist and a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria’s Branch Council, was kidnapped in the town of Girke Lage on March 31, 2024.
9- Marwan Hussein Layani, a youth activist and a member of the Girke Lage local council of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, was kidnapped in Girke Lage town on April 1, 2024.
10- Ahmed Hassan Sofi, a media figure and a member of Area Council of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Syria, was kidnapped in Derik city on April 2, 2024.
11- Hussam Dorsin, a member of Area Committee of the Kurdistan People’s Party-Syria and a member of the Kurdish National Council in Syria, was kidnapped in Derik city on April 1, 2024.
12- Fathi Sarhan Gado, a member of the advisory body of the Kurdish Yakiti Party-Syria, was kidnapped by PYD administration militants in Qamishlo city, Kurdistan Syria, June 15, 2024.
It is worth noting that the Kurdish National Council appealed the International Coalition led by America to intervene to release all those kidnapped “by the administration of the Democratic Union Party (PYD).”
