SDF Supply the Syrian Regime with Oil

ARK News.. Local sources revealed that dozens of oil tankers belonging to the Qatirji Company arrived in Raqqa to transport oil from areas under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces.

Local sources from Raqqa city said that dozens of tankers belonging to the Qatirji Company, on Friday, September 6, 2024, arrived accompanied by military protection from the Qatirji militias to the Tabqa city crossing west of Raqqa coming from the Sufian area.

According to the sources, the oil tankers on Saturday, September 7, 2024, entered to areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces to transport oil from areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces to areas controlled by the Syrian regime.

A special source told ARK News earlier that the PYD administration signed an agreement with the Syrian regime in December 2023 to support the Syrian regime with "320" diesel tankers per day.

According to the source, the PYD administration retains a share of (7%) of the diesel produced in the oil fields under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces, and sells it on the black market at high prices.

It is worth noting that the "Syrian Democratic Forces" control the most important oil and gas fields in the region, including the fields of "Rmelan and Suwaydiya" in countryside of Derik, and "Al-Shaddadi and Al-Jabsa" in countryside of Hasaka, in addition to the "Al-Omar and Al-Tanak" fields in Deir Ez-Zour
