US Central Command neutralizes a prominent leader in the Guardians of Religion organization in Syria

ARK News.. The US Central Command revealed that it had neutralized a prominent leader in the Hurras Addin the (Guardians of Religion) organization by targeting him with a precision strike in Syria.

The US Central Command, on Friday, August 23, 2024, said on its Facebook page: "Earlier Friday, August 23, 2024, US Central Command forces neutralized a prominent leader in the Guardians of Religion organization, "Abu Abdul Rahman al-Makki," by targeting him with a precision strike in Syria."

It added: "Abu Abdul Rahman al-Makki was a member of the Guardians of Religion Shora Council and a prominent leader responsible for overseeing terrorist operations from Syria."

General Michael Erik Kurilla, Commander of the US Central Command, confirmed that the Central Command remains committed to the lasting defeat of terrorists within the command's area of responsibility who threaten the United States, its allies and partners, and regional stability.

It concluded: "Hurras Addin (Guardians of Religion) is an al-Qaeda-linked force based in Syria and shares al-Qaeda's global aspirations to launch attacks against US and Western interests."
