Iranian militias commit massacre in eastern Deir Ez-Zour countryside

ARK News.. The Syrian regime forces and local militias loyal to Iran targeted the eastern countryside of Deir Ez-Zour, on Friday, resulting in the killing and wounding of more than 15 civilians.

Local sources reported that the death toll from the regime forces and militia shelling in the towns of Al-Dahla and Jdeidet Baggara rose to 11 people, including 5 children.

According to the sources, the two towns witnessed a displacement movement towards the desert (behind the railway) in eastern countryside of Deir Ez-Zour.

For its part, the "Syrian Democratic Forces" said that at exactly 02:30 on Friday night, "the regime forces stationed on the western bank of the Euphrates river shelled the village of Al-Dahla with dozens of rockets and artillery shells, many of which fell on civilian homes and farms", resulting in deaths and injuries.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed that 11 civilians, including women and 6 children, lost their lives in the "massacre committed by local militias loyal to Iran in the village of Al-Dahla in the countryside of Deir Ez-Zour", in addition to 5 others injured who are receiving treatment in the hospital.

The Observatory added: "The militias targeted with mortar shells and heavy artillery from their areas of deployment in the village of Al-Bulel in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez-Zour on the western bank of the Euphrates river, the homes of civilians in the village of Al-Dahla."

The Syrian Observatory explained that the victims were members of two families in the village.
