Israel targets Al-Shu’yrat military airport in Homs countryside

ARK News.. Israeli warplanes targeted a military site in vicinity of Al-Shu’yrat airport in the eastern countryside of Homs, and the targeting resulted in the injury of a number of Syrian regime and Iranian militia gunmen.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that seven gunmen, on Thursday, August 8, 2024, were injured as a result of an Israeli airstrike that targeted a missile warehouse in a military regiment about five kilometers away from Al-Shu’yrat military airport in Homs countryside.

According to the source, three of the injured were pro-Iranian militia gunmen, one of whom is in critical condition, in addition to material damage.

For its part, the Syrian regime's news agency (SANA) reported that at approximately 8:55 pm, on Thursday, Israeli aircraft launched an airstrike from the direction of northern Lebanon, targeting a number of military points in the central region.

Russia Today also reported that a missile attack targeted a site of the 11th Division of the Syrian regime army, in the vicinity of Al-Shu’yrat Airport in eastern countryside of Homs, which resulted in the injury of four soldiers and material losses.
