ARK News.. Local sources revealed that Iranian militias brought advanced weapons to Al-Bukamal city, at a time when tensions are increasing in the region following Iran's announcement of its intention to avenge the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of Hamas.

The local website "Ain Al-Furat" said that Iranian militias brought shipments loaded with "advanced" weapons to the city of Al-Bukamal, on Saturday, August 3, 2024, through the illegal railway crossing.

According to the source, the six trucks were loaded with advanced Iranian-made missiles, and entered Al-Bukamal city under the protection of the "Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces".

According to the source, the Iranian militias prevented their local elements and the military security elements affiliated with the Syrian regime from accompanying the trucks.

The local source explained that the trucks crossed from Al-Bukamal to Al-Mayadeen before heading via a military road to the Deir Ez-Zour-Damascus road without entering the city or passing through the regime's checkpoints, to continue on their way towards southern Syria.
