Lebanon.. Evacuation of (50) Syrian refugees from south of Tripoli
ARK News.. In continuation of Lebanon's restrictive policy against refugees, by order of the Lebanese authorities, dozens of Syrian refugees left the town of Qalamoun, south of Tripoli.
The Lebanese National News Agency said that State Security patrols in northern Lebanon evacuated 50 Syrian refugees, on Monday, July 22, 2024, from the town of Qalamoun after warnings it had issued to them some time ago.
The evacuation of Syrian refugees comes at a time when the Lebanese authorities continue to forcibly return Syrians to their country under what they call “voluntary return.”
Media reports confirm that the Syrian regime expelled hundreds of returning Syrians and forced them to return to Lebanon, in addition to subjecting others to arrest.
