The International Coalition intends to establish 142 observation towers along the Euphrates River in Syria
ARK News.. A Syrian news network confirmed that the International Coalition forces began establishing watchtowers along the Euphrates River in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez-Zour.
Al-Khabour News Network said that the International Coalition forces intend to establish observation towers along the Euphrates River extending to Al-Baghoz on the Syrian-Iraqi border, as they have begun construction in Jadeed Agaidat, Jadeed Baggara, Al-Sabha, Abriha, Al-Basira, Al-Zir and Al-Shuhail in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez-Zour.
According to the Network, the points scheduled to be built are 142 towers, which were identified by a military committee affiliated with the International Coalition, which conducts a field inspection of the site and then determines the location of the tower for construction.
According to the network, the goal of creating the towers is:
- Monitoring the activity of Iranian militias along the river bank of the Euphrates River and preventing the infiltration of its members into the other side of the river (Al-Jazeera area).
-Reducing the smuggling of weapons and ammunition.
