A book by President Masoud Barzani wins the second prize at the American Book Feast

ARK News… A book by President Masoud Barzani, “his memoirs about historical events over the past decades,” translated into English, won the second prize in the American Book Feast’s annual International Book Awards competition, which awards prizes for the best books in all fields.

Since 2010, the International Book Awards Competition has been awarding prizes to the best books around the world and in various fields. This year, in the field of general history, President Masoud Barzani’s book entitled (Barzani and the Kurdistan Liberation Movement, the Gulan Revolution - Volume Four - Parts One and Two), translated into English by the Kurdish writer residing in Britain, Davan Yahiya Khalil, the second prize in this competition.

According to the organizers of this international competition in the field of writing and publishing, this year’s competition will award its prizes to books published in the years 2022 - 2023 - 2024.

Jeffrey Kane, executive director of the American Book Feast organization, which organizes this global competition, said that thousands of titles were submitted this year, and only a few of them were nominated for awards.

Kane added, “This award aims to support the world of books, and is an attempt to draw readers back into this world.”

The competition, entitled the International Book Awards, is organized annually with the participation of one million titles from around the world.

Among the winners of the first and second prizes this year, in addition to President Barzani’s book, is a book by Pope Francis, the Pope of the Vatican, which is his memoirs, as well as a biography book by the famous American singer and TV presenter Vanessa Williams, and a biography book by the famous American actor Bob Odenkirk.
