ARK News… The Security Office of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia issued a circular prohibiting its members in Deir Ez-Zour and its countryside from taking pictures inside military headquarters.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the security bureau of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a circular to IRGC militiamen of all nationalities, who are deployed in headquarters and military posts and positions in Deir Ez-Zour city and countryside, especially in Al-Mayadeen and Al-Bukamal cities in the eastern countryside of Deir Ez-Zour, ordering them not to take pictures of themselves inside the headquarters and military posts or take pictures of themselves or their companions while holding weapons or standing next to heavy weapons, vehicles or drones, under penalty of accountability for violators of the circular.

The Syrian Observatory added that the IRGC threatened to punish every militiaman violating the circular by imprisoning them for four months up to 12 months.

The Syrian Observatory confirmed that the issuance of this circular coincides with concerns about detecting IRGC positions and the types of weapons stored and deployed in those positions, fearing expected attacks by Israeli forces and International Coalition Forces.

This comes a week after airstrikes carried out by unknown aircraft on positions of Iranian-backed militias in Ashayer town near Al-Sukariya in Al-Bukamal countryside, a few kilometers away from the Syria-Iraq border. The airstrikes then left three fatalities: two Iraqi members of the “Islamic Resistance in Iraq” and an unidentified person.
