The Kurdish National Council issues a statement on the occasion of the 9th anniversary of the Kobani massacre

ARK News… The General Secretariat of the Kurdish National Council in Syria issued a statement on the occasion of the ninth anniversary of the Kobani massacre, “The Night of Treachery,” in which it held the PYD responsible for not revealing the truth, and stressed that everyone is wondering who committed this heinous crime and how it entered the city with its weapons.

The statement said that the city of Kobani, on the morning of June 25, 2015, was rocked by a heinous crime committed by armed terrorist groups, who carried out random killings of people in the streets and homes, leaving hundreds of martyrs dead, most of them were innocent civilians.

The statements confirmed that this crime is considered a war crime and a crime against humanity, and it occurred a few months after the city was liberated from ISIS by the International Coalition Forces, the Peshmerga, and the People’s Protection Units.

The statement added that nine years have passed since the Kobani massacre (Night of Treachery) and its circumstances are still mysterious, and the families of the victims are impatiently waiting for the truth to be revealed through a transparent investigation.

Everyone is still wondering who committed this heinous crime and how they entered the city with their weapons.

Finally, the Kurdish National Council in Syria in its statement that it strongly condemns the crime of the Night of Treachery, and holds PYD responsible for not revealing the truth. Pointing that the city was under their control at the time, it stresses that this crime will not erase its traces unless the truth is revealed, justice takes its course, and the perpetrators of this heinous crime are held accountable.
