President Barzani receives the new British Deputy Ambassador and Consul in the Kurdistan Region
ARK News… President Masoud Barzani, on Sunday, received at the Salahuddin resort, the new British Consul General in Erbil, Andrew Disley.
In the meeting, which was attended by the Deputy British Ambassador to Iraq, Rosie Cave, President Barzani welcomed the guest delegation and wished the new British Consul in Erbil success in his new mission.
He also referred to the friendly and historical relations between the people of Kurdistan and the United Kingdom, and expressed his hope that relations would continue and develop further.
For his part, the British Consul General in Erbil thanked President Barzani for his position and spoke about the relations between the people and government of the Kurdistan Region and the United Kingdom and expressed his readiness to continue and improve these relations.
The political situation in Iraq and the region and the rise of terrorism were also discussed in another aspect of the meeting.
