ARK News… In conjunction with a significant rise in temperatures and an increase in the need for water during the summer, about 1,000 camps are suffering from a water crisis in north-western Syria.

The Syria Response Coordinators Team said that camps for displaced people in north-western Syria have been suffering from a stifling water crisis since the beginning of the year 2024, and the crisis has increased significantly over the past two months, with the region recording a complete lack of water in more than 991 camps.

According to the Response Team, 318 other camps suffer from a lack of water supply (they do not receive enough water), and more than 829 camps suffer from the absence of the necessary sanitation.

As a result of the lack of water, several disease cases (skin diseases) have been recorded in more than 487 camps so far.
