ARK News… Iran uses visitor buses entering Syria to smuggle drugs through legal and illegal crossings between Syria and Iraq.

The Ain al-Furat website said that buses enter Syria through the city of al-Bukamal daily during the early hours of dawn, loaded with all types and types of contraband and smuggled materials, and are supervised by the Iraqi “Popular Mobilization Forces” militia, and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, in coordination with the Fourth Division.

The website pointed out that the huge profits from the drug trade prompted Iranian and Iraqi militia leaders to form separate operations rooms to manage this trade. Deir Ez-Zour Governorate was divided into sectors and those close to them were appointed to promote and sell drugs.

It talked about the methods of drug smuggling, saying that they are smuggled within convoys of visitors coming to visit the shrine of Sayyida Zeinab in Damascus, or in private trucks via al-Hari and Al-Sikak crossings.
