ARK News… The Syrian Negotiating Committee called on the United Nations and the Arab countries to put pressure on the Lebanese government to intervene immediately and quickly in order to stop the attacks against Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

In letters to the UN Special Envoy to Syria, Geir Pedersen, and the Arab League, the Negotiating Committee called for an end to the “racist campaign” against Syrian refugees in Lebanon.

She warned of increasing pressure on Syrian refugees in Lebanon, using them as a card in the internal political conflict, and accusing them of what they are innocent of.

The Commission stressed that the demand to return Syrian refugees to Syria “carries double risks, as they are awaited by interrogation, torture, disappearance, and killing by the Syrian security services, which continue to commit violations against the refugees who return.”
