France... Setting a trial date for “Islam Alloush,” accused of committing war crimes in Syria
ARK News… The French newspaper Le Figaro revealed that the former spokesman for the “Army of Islam” faction, Magdi Ne’ma, known as “Islam Alloush,” is scheduled to be tried before the Special Criminal Court in Paris, in April 2025.
According to what was reported by the French newspaper, Islam Alloush, 35 years old, will be tried on charges of complicity in war crimes, as he is suspected of helping to recruit children and teenagers between 2013 and 2016, and participating in a criminal association with the aim of preparing for war crimes.
Two years ago, the Investigative Chamber of the Paris Court of Appeal rejected all appeals invoked by the defense team accused of war crimes in Syria.
According to Le Figaro newspaper, Magdy Ne’ma’s trial will be held before the Special Criminal Court in Paris, under the universal jurisdiction of the French judiciary, from April 29 to May 23, 2025.
Magdi Ne’ma, born in 1988, was a captain in the Syrian regime’s army, before he defected from it in 2012 and became a spokesman for the “Jayshal-Islam,” an opposition faction formed after the outbreak of the revolution in Syria.
